Honours education at another LDE university

Are you interested in taking honours courses at another LDE university? On this page you find the application procedure, how to transfer credits and contact information.

1. How does enrolment at another LDE university work?

  • Leiden University: You apply via the application system of the relevant honours programme as listed on the student website. In the application system you can indicate which university you are studying at. After admission, the Leiden Honours Academy will send you an e-mail requesting some details to create a guest account. Once the registration is complete, you will also get automatic access to the learning environment Brightspace. 
     
  • TU Delft: You send an e-mail to HPD@tudelft.nl, indicating which course you would like to take. After admission, the Honours Programme Delft will send you an e-mail with a link to create a guest account and a request to send some details. Once the registration is complete, you will also get automatic access to the Brightspace learning environment.
     
  • Erasmus University Rotterdam: You send an e-mail to eha@eur.nl and indicate that you want to participate in the selection. You will then be informed about what is required to join. After admission, the Erasmus Honours Academy will send you an e-mail with a link to create a guest account and a request to send some details. Once the registration is complete, you will also get automatic access to the Canvas learning environment.

2. What happens to credits I earn at another LDE university? 

  • Leiden University: For participation in an Honours Class or the Leiden Leadership Programme, you will receive a certificate with grade list. With this, you can go to the student administration of your own study and ask for these credits to be registered as extracurricular education. When you graduate, this extracurricular education will be included on your diploma supplement. 

Please note: If you study at the EUR, it is currently not possible to process externally earned credits on to your transcript. In the case of a full honours programme, you will however receive a certificate as proof of completing the programme.

  • TU Delft: For participation in an honours course in Delft, you will receive the number of EC specified for it. You request a transcript for this in Delft, with which you can go to the student administration of your own study and request that these EC be registered as extracurricular education. When you graduate, this extracurricular education will be included on your diploma supplement.

Please note: If you study at the EUR, it is currently not possible to process externally earned credits on to your transcript. In the case of a full honours programme, you will however receive a certificate as proof of completing the programme.

  • Erasmus University Rotterdam: For participation in an honours programme in Rotterdam, you will receive a certificate with the number of EC for this programme. With this certificate you can go to the student administration of your own programme and request to have these EC registered as extracurricular education. When you graduate, this extracurricular education will be included on your diploma supplement.
