But Zuid-Holland is also a province with major social challenges in the field of (public) health, welfare and living environment.How can we anticipate the problems of the future based on knowledge and joint strength? Welcome to the work conference Healthy Society: innovation and sustainable implementation - Action in the Delta.
First joint conference of South Holland Knowledge Alliances
On 8 April 2025, Medical Delta, Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities and the universities of applied sciences affiliated in the South Holland Impact Alliance will for the first time organise a joint conference focusing on a wide range of health topics.Researchers from the universities, UMCs and universities of applied sciences will enter into discussion with policymakers, administrators, politicians, entrepreneurs, advisers and other actors in the field of health.

What can you expect on Tuesday afternoon, 8 April? Besides an interesting substantive programme with inspiring keynotes, you will engage with other participants during work sessions on seven pressing health topics, namely:
- Health inequalities in the region
- Urban design that benefits health
- Labour-saving technologies for healthcare
- Sustainability in healthcare
- Financing healthcare innovations
- Biotechregion South-Holland
- Healthy nutrition
Welcome at 13:00 in the TU Delft auditorium (Mekelweg 5). Dutch spoken. Besides several speakers, deputy Mariette van Leeuwen will be present to receive the insights and action points.
