The Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre Governance of Migration and Diversity is launching a seed money initiative this spring, aimed at promoting collaboration across the three LDE universities. Scientists from Leiden, Delft, Erasmus universities can now respond to this call.

The Centre is looking for unique or innovative ideas from researchers, focusing on multidisciplinary collaboration in the theme of Migration and Diversity. Within the Centre, a group of researchers from the three universities have been working closely together for several years, from the fields of public administration, sociology, law, history and architecture, among others. This cooperation builds on the successful master's track Governance of Migration and Diversity, a joint programme of the three universities.

Pooling knowledge on the migration society

Recently, the centre published the white paper The Migration City, in which scientists from Leiden University, TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam talked to experts from various organisations. The centre also published the book The Migration Society: Migration and Diversity as a Gordian Knot, about the complexity and intertwining of migration and migration-related diversity in issues such as reception, housing, work, education, social security and cultural participation.

LDE Governance of Migration and Diversity Seed Funding Initiative

This is the second edition of the LDE Governance of Migration and Diversity Seed Funding Initiative. The iniative aims to promote synergies and innovation within the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus community and aims to foster interuniversity and interdisciplinary cooperation among scientists.

Proposals can cover, for example, multi- or interdisciplinary research projects, a knowledge network or community, or events to promote cooperation in science.
